Accessibility Statement

Updated 26 September 2025

PagansGather is committed to making our digital services accessible in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019) and the EU Web Accessibility Directive. The service is hosted in Finland and operated by a global volunteer staff primarily based in the United States. This statement applies to the PagansGather public website, member directory, and related logged-in features served from https://pagansgather.com.

Compliance Status

Our service is currently partially compliant with the applicable accessibility requirements. The majority of user journeys conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA; remaining gaps are tracked on our internal accessibility backlog and prioritised alongside other production work. We aim to resolve blockers that impact core flows within 30 days of discovery and continually refine the experience based on member feedback.

Known Limitations

  • Some historic listing content submitted by members may lack sufficient heading structure or descriptive link text. We are phasing in editorial guidance and moderation tooling to improve future submissions.
  • Legacy custom HTML on the homepage card can introduce contrast or motion issues when content is pasted without review. Staff are developing presets and linting to reduce regressions.

We welcome reports of any additional issues. Confirmed defects are published to our backlog within five business days, scheduled for remediation, and tracked until resolved or a compliant alternative is delivered.

Feedback and Contact

If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need content in an alternative format, contact us via e-mail at accessibility@pagansgather.com. The inbox is monitored by our volunteer team so every message receives a timely response.

You may also submit accessibility feedback by logging in and using the contact form on a staff member’s public profile if e-mail is not available to you.

We strive to acknowledge each request within seven days and provide a substantive response or accessible alternative within 14 days.

Enforcement Procedure

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland (Etelä-Suomen aluehallintovirasto), which oversees the accessibility of digital services hosted in Finland, where our production infrastructure resides.

You may also contact the Non-Discrimination Ombudsman (Tasa-arvovaltuutettu) if you experience discrimination when using our service: syrjintä.fi / yvt@oikeus.fi.

Preparation of This Statement

This accessibility statement was prepared on 15 February 2025 using self-evaluation against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria, code review, and assistive technology spot checks. It is reviewed quarterly and whenever significant new features launch.
